Due to continued growth, we’re seeking a full-time Educational Account Manager. In this new role, you’ll remotely work with our Marketing team to deliver seamless, high-quality service to new and existing customers in the Chicago area, where about 60% of your time will be spent traveling. Main responsibilities include:

  • Creating and refining educational product offerings to match market needs while maintaining awareness of the competitive landscape, trends, and opportunities
  • Conducting account research to identify the structure, priorities, key personnel, and other information needed to develop strategies and approaches
  • Overseeing all aspects of the engagement experience (prospecting, lead management and qualification, closing, transition for implementation support, and ongoing relationship management), and managing account information
  • Collaborating with team members throughout the engagement cycle to answer questions, create customized pitches, remove barriers, and close deals
  • Coordinating product demos and arranging product referrals
  • Helping new and existing accounts identify funding and grant opportunities, and promoting new products, services, training, maintenance, and professional development opportunities
  • Assisting with strategically planning and promoting high-value, high-opportunity events; attending events as assigned to cultivate relationships and growth opportunities
  • Ensuring timely and effective product onboarding upon closing sales

What Your Resume Says

  • Minimum 5 years’ sales experience with technology-based products
  • Background in technical education or educational sales
  • Demonstrated, quantifiable record of successful technology or educational sales
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Experience in designing solution-based approaches to meet customer requirements
  • Understanding of complex sales cycles
