Something that’s been on our to-do list for a while is to modify the SprutCAM post to generate code for Tension/Compression Tapping on the PCNC.
Since the release of the Series II (and spindle drive upgrade for Series I), all PCNCs can do tension/compression tapping because of the quick acceleration and deceleration that’s capable with a digital vector drive. If you have a Series II or a Spindle Drive Upgrade and use SprutCAM, then this post is for you (you’ll need a tapping head like PN 31163)
We’re releasing the new post as “beta” and are looking for feedback before wider release. Send me an email if you’d like to give it a try.
