About Jacobs Taper Arbors and Drill Chucks

Jacobs taper (JT) arbors are used to mount both keyed and keyless drill chucks. They are an affordable option for many typical drilling applications and have versatility to accomodate a range of drill sizes with a single drill chuck. 

We have TTS arbors for common JT tapers as well as compatible keyed and keyless drill chucks. To order, simply match your drill chuck size to the corresponding arbor.

Jacobs taper chucks are only suitable for drills and should never be used for milling or other side cutting loads, since these types of cuts will tend to loosen the chuck from the arbor.
