Basic Machine Stand
The basic machine stand is
convenient for tight
locations or tight budgets.
The tray is large enough to
cover the full range of
table motion. This stand
works well with dry cutting,
mist coolant or limited
flood coolant. The stand
does not include a coolant
system or a guard.

Do It Yourself Suggestions
It
is entirely practical to build your own machine stand. The image to the right is an example of a user build stand. It has integral chip and coolant collection, plus cabinet space below machine stand for computer, tool storage, and coolant system. The design is rigid, can be built in a couple weekends, and costs less than $200 in materials.
The stand shown here was designed for people with woodworking skills and tools. Many owners
prefer to weld a stand using steel tubing and sheet metal. If you
prefer steel but don't have sheet metal fabrication tools for the tray, check with a local HVAC shop. Then can normally build you something from a simple sketch.
