About the Vacuum Table
The Vacuum Table Kit (PN 31185) attaches to the table of the PCNC 1100. When combined with a vacuum pump, it adds the versatility of vacuum workholding to the mill. The kit can be used as-is or in conjunction with additional fixtures to provide custom workholding solutions for parts that may be difficult or impossible to hold with a traditional machinist’s vice. The Vacuum Pump Kit (PN 31186) and the Vacuum Pump Exhaust Filter (PN 31149) are optional accessories to the system and sold separately.The Vacuum Pump Kit (PN 31186), is a single stage rotary vane air-cooled ½ HP vacuum pump suitable for hobbyist applications. It is a single phase 115V/60Hz designed to be operated at voltages ±10% of its normal rating. Full pump specifications can be seen in Table 1 of the datasheet. Also included with the pump is a vacuum gauge and intake filter.
An optional Vacuum Pump Exhaust Filter (PN 31149) is recommended for applications when prolonged pump operation without a workpiece in place is unavoidable. The exhaust filter will prevent oil mist discharge that can occur more readily in this situation.
